A mount allows players to travel the world of Eligium quickly and conveniently. Eligium has a unique and interesting mount-rearing system, with more features on the way.

Obtaining a Mount

Players will get a free mount egg after reaching level 20 and completing a quest. Special mounts can be acquired from in-game events or sold in the item mall.

The reward of this quest:

The Evolution of Mounts

Hatching a Mount Egg

A player who has reached level 20 can start hatching an equipped Mount Egg. The Hatching Period will take 50 minutes (some mounts have 125 minutes hatching period) which can be shortened to 5 minutes by using a special item – a Mount Egg Catalyst. A larva (or “fledging”) will emerge from the hatched egg.
Mount Egg Catalyst

Basic Hatch duration of a mount egg.

By using the Mount Egg Catalyst, the duration will be reduced to 5 minutes.

Larval Period
When the egg hatches, the larva of a mount will appear and enter the second phase. While it cannot be ridden yet, you can equip the Larva in the mount slot to get stat bonuses.

When the hungry rate reaches 30% or less (3/10), you need to feed your mount. You can find your mount’s food by using the Mount button in the Inventory interface. The food used must be appropriate to the current stage.
The larval period is very important for the mount, as the mount’s talents and growth are determined within this stage. All the stats bonuses are randomly given, so if you are lucky enough, you can end up with a considerable amount of bonuses.
A mount has three Basic Talents. There is also a chance for it to learn a Hidden Talent during its growth.
Basic Talent: Maximum HP
Basic Talent: Maximum MP
Basic Talent: Maximum Physical Damage
The 3rd basic talent of the mount will always be Maximum Physical Damage for classes who deal physical damage (Warriors, Hunters and Monks); while the 3rd basic talent for casting classes (Mages and Druids) will be Maximum Magical Damage. Whether or not the mount will learn a hidden talent is completely random, as well as the type of the talent it will learn. The value of the hidden talents is randomly determined upon acquiring the hidden talent.
A larva will go through 10 stages during its Maturation Period. Players must feed the fledgling mount to help the mount grow. Different stages require different types and amounts of food. A larva begins with a Satisfaction Level of 100%. Once it is equipped, the Satisfaction Level will decrease over time. Only mounts with a 30%(3/10) or less Satisfaction Level can be fed (players can accelerate this process with the use of Immature Digestive).

There are three feeding periods; each of these periods require different types of mount food.

Stage 1 to 4: Junior Magic Powder

Stage 5 to 7: Intermediate Magic Powder

Stage 8 to 10: Senior Magic Powder

Again, different stages require different types/amounts of food. When a larval mount levels up, its basic talents will improve and it also has a chance to learn a hidden talent (there is one possible hidden talent for each of the mounts). Players can increase the chances in which a mount learns a hidden talent with an Immature Wisdom Potion.

With an Immature Amplification Potion, the stat growth rate of a leveled up mount is increased.

When the Satisfaction Level reaches 0, all the stats bonuses gained from the mount will not be applied to the character, and the mount cannot be unequipped.
If a player is not satisfied with the talents that first emerged in their mount, they can always use a Regression Enzyme. This item can reset the levels and talents of a mount. Players can restart the Larval Period again and again until they raise a mount that they like.
Mature Mount
Maturation Period:
When a mount matures, players can finally say goodbye to hiking and enjoy the rest of their adventure together with their mount! No more talents can be learned during this period. As with the Larval Period, a mature mount will gain additional stat bonuses when it levels up, and these stats are given randomly (sometimes just only a few points). Only an equipped adult mount can gain Experience when its master kills monsters.
An adult mount has Stamina. When it levels up, some stamina points will be used. If Stamina reaches 0, no stat bonuses will be applied to the player. Stamina can also be replenished with food. As with the Satisfaction Level, only a mount with 30% or less Stamina can be fed.
